Our first group meeting!!

Hello Emma and Abigail and Farida!
We are so happy to be doing this! Gabe is on a weekend school trip and won't be here this Sunday, but he will be joining us next weekend!

We'll be learning lots about how technology and our own interests can help us learn more about God, about Christian Science and about each other in these meetings!

Although we are not an official Sunday School, we certainly are going to cover a lot of the same topics that you would normally talk about in Sunday School.

Our first meeting will be very informal. Now that we have gotten to this point - of actually coming together - let's try to do these things:

We'll first need to introduce each other briefly, then do a tech check.

  • Does everyone hear one another well enough?
  • How are the web cams working?
  • Is our skype conference call capacity enough?
  • Can everyone access this site properly and do the links work? (Just click on a few to see if it works)

If we are all set technically, let's go around again and introduce each other

  • Tell us who you are, a few fun things about yourself, and what you hope to get out of these discussions PLUS special talents and ideas you have for these gatherings!
  • Check out our site and share what more you would like to see!
  • We can post different things from tmcyouth.com and christianscience.com and spirituality.com, plus more of your pictures and relevant videos that can help illustrate the Lesson for this week and our First Lessons ( the Ten Commandments and the Beatitudes).
It would be great to try to talk about one or all of three things each time we meet:
  • inspiring ideas that came to you throughout the week
  • main ideas or points from this week's Lesson-Sermon
  • talk about the Bible character of the week
  • how to apply Christian Science in our daily life
What would you change or like to add?

At the end of our time together, we'll talk about what we want to do for next week.

We have got a whole world to explore and an infinite subject of God's love and goodness to learn more about! Looking forward to hearing from you on Sunday!!! Farida - I can set up the call from here, allright?

Lots of love,

Kim and Gabe
